EuroPride Special @ Weltmuseum Wien

On June 7, the Weltmuseum together with EuroPride 2019 dedicates an entire day to the LGBTIQ community. In the spirit of equality and acceptance, a varied programme with a focus on LGBTIQ will be offered. Rainbow tours will bring you closer to the current exhibitions in the Weltmuseum and give new perspectives on the artworks on display. With a focus on LGBTIQ, museum visitors can expect to learn a lot about the works and their backgrounds. Exciting insights are guaranteed. The number of participants per tour is limited to 25 persons.
From 7.30 p.m. the FemFriday concert will take place: A colourful programme of musicians will round off your evening perfectly and offer queer, musical delights. Tickets are limited to 150 and can be purchased in the online shop or at the box office. Afterwards, you can party at the Helden Bar.
- 1.00 p.m.: Till Death Do Us Part – Guided Tour in English. The years fly by and the couple is parted at the latest by death. Life takes its course like this or any other way: we use objects from our permanent exhibition to celebrate Love and Equality! Bring your love and your partner along!
- 6.00 p.m.: Desire, Lust and Fertility – Guided Tour in English. Discover juicy tales about eroticism, fertility, and sexuality, as well as gender roles and their changeability, based on unexpected objects from the Weltmuseum Wien’s display collection.
- 7.30-10.00 p.m.: FemFriday #9 – Concert and Artist TalkAaron Porter will start the evening with infectious electro-pop and sexually charged R&B that embraces with elegance. Aaron’s songs are about his life, sexuality, broken hearts, the challenge of showing who he really is, and toxic masculinity.Sanni Est, the Brazilian trans*feminist activist will continue the night with screaming vocals and seething synths.Dacid Go8lin continues on the night. Dafina Sylejmani a.k.a. Dacid Go8lin moved from war-torn Kosovo to Linz when as a teenager. She is a rapper, producer, DJ, and visual artist. But above all, she is the founder of FEMME DMC, an all-female collective dedicated entirely to hip hop in all its forms.
