UN Globe
Group Description
UN-GLOBE, founded in 1996, has expanded over the past few years across the UN system and across duty stations, with over 50 representatives around the world. It is now recognized as the organization that represents LGBTIQ+ people in the UN System by senior leadership. Among its achievements in recent years are recognition of same-sex unions, equal pension rights, and inclusion for LGBTIQ+ people in anti-discriminatory policies. UN-GLOBE has also given inputs to numerous policies, from mobility to sexual harassment, and helped bring greater awareness about the experiences of trans and gender non-conforming people within the UN System through its recommendations for an inclusive workplace. Currently, its priorities include ensuring that within the UN System there is inclusive parental leave, granting equal leave time to all parents, regardless of their gender, and whether they have given birth, adopted, or had a child through surrogacy.

Group Description
UN-GLOBE wurde 1996 gegründet 1996 und ist heute weltweit im ganzen System der Vereinten Nationen (UNO) verbreitet. Die UNO-Führungsebene erkent UN-GLOBE als Vertretung der LGBTIQ+-Mitarbeiter*innen im UNO-System an. Zu den Errungenschaften der letzten Jahre gehören die Anerkennung gleichgeschlechtlicher Partnerschaften, gleiche Rentenansprüche und die Einbeziehung von LGBTIQ+-Personen in Antidiskriminierungsmaßnahmen. UN-GLOBE hat auch Beiträge zu zahlreichen internen Themen geleistet, etwa Mobilität und sexuelle Belästigung, und durch Empfehlungen für einen inklusiven Arbeitsplatz dazu beigetragen, das Bewusstsein für die Erfahrungen von trans* und nicht-konformen Menschen innerhalb des UN-Systems zu schärfen. Derzeit liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Sicherstellung eines inklusiven Elternurlaubs innerhalb des UNO-Systems und der Gewährung gleicher Urlaubszeiten für alle Eltern, unabhängig von ihrem Geschlecht und ob das Kind von ihnen oder durch Leihmutterschaft geboren oder adoptiert wurde.
