Group Description
Batala (Batala Austria and Batala Boom) is a percussion band and part of an international Samba band in more than 20 countries (Austria, Brazil, France, USA, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Greece etc.) More than 1,000 percussionists worldwide play at BATALA. In addition to performing in Austria, BATALA also plays internationally at famous carnivals like Salvador de Bahia in Brazil or the Notting Hill Carnival in London. Our Samba style is a vibrant mix of "Samba Reggae", "Axè", "Afoxé" and "Samba Afro" and has its roots in Salvador de Bahia, the northeast of Brazil.

Our percussion group "BATALA" will perform a variety of samba reggae rhythms and songs with colorful drums and costumes. The costumes and drums of our Samba Reggae Percussion Band are predominantly red, white and black and are made in Brazil.

Batala (Batala Austria und Batala Boom) ist eine Percussion-Band und Teil einer internationalen Samba-Band in mehr als 20 Ländern (Österreich, Brasilien, Frankreich, USA, Spanien, Niederlande, Großbritannien, Griechenland u.v.m.) Weltweit spielen mehr als 1.000 Perkussionisten bei BATALA. Neben den Auftritten in Österreich spielt BATALA auch international auf berühmten Karnevals wie Salvador de Bahia in Brasilien oder dem Notting Hill Karneval in London. Unser Samba-Stil ist eine pulsierende Mischung aus “Samba Reggae”, „Axè“, “Afoxé” und “Samba Afro” und hat seine Wurzeln in Salvador de Bahia, dem Nordosten von Brasilien.

Unsere Percussion-Gruppe "BATALA" wird mit bunten Trommeln und Kostümen verschiedenste Samba Reggae Rhythmen und Lieder performen. Die Kostüme und Trommeln unserer Samba Reggae Percussion-Band sind vorwiegend rot, weiß und schwarz und werden in Brasilien hergestellt.
